mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted April 3, 2009 welcome!! i think ur house isnt as bad as u tot. Ur toilet's much better than mine when i took over the house! Where's the location btw?
nimmy 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2009 Congrats on your new home..I agree with mrspiglet.I feel the house itself and the renovations looks quite new and good, especially the toilet. I like the way their ID has utilised the space between the pipes to build staorage shelves...May be some good ID has done the reno. But i agree with you on the bedroom platforms.Even i dnt like the concept of platforms. Anyway it is always nice to incorporate own ideas and renovate the house accordingly to get the full satisfaction and happiness. All the best for the upcoming renovations. mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 Meng is within my list of to-avoid when i was doing my research. Cant rembr for what reasons already. Maybe u wanna try checking out the SGBride forum for their review? That's where i got my info. I suggest u go take a look at real houses instead of showroom. That will give a closer feel of the workmanship. Generally showroom will be better cos they would wanna impress their potential clients to sign up?
pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 Showrooms all look the same..the best. See if you can take a look at some of their actual projects and see the workmanship given to real people.
Pinklady 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2009 hello Duckie, of course to a newbie the quote seems to be troublesome, and once you look at the list of items, it seems like a chore, and have a headache! that's how some ID firms cheat pple's money! but you still need to go thru carefully all the items, in case you have signed up for their so called "promotional package" and found that, many items r not in and you will have to fork out more money! that's how we found out their sales tactics, when we started sourcing around for IDs/contractors! anyway, have you shortlisted any yet? if you wan, i can PM you my ID. but i do agree that the flooring and most of the stuff in your new home seems to be in a very good condition! can save a lot of money on the flooring. duckie 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) Just for sharing... We have so far talked to 3 IDs: (1) U-home The show room is very impressive. The ID assigned to us is very approachable and patient not to mention very punctual. He also does the followup without necessarily being very pushy. (2) imag3creativ3 The show room/office is currently under renovation so we always have to pass through the back door which is a bit scary. We do the followup on the ID regarding meetings unlike the first ID who's the opposite. But the assigned ID to us is very patient and approachable also. He also tends to give freebies. Thing is that he forgets things like I emailed him all the stuff we need but when we went there today it wasn't in the updated reno quotation. (3) Meng Design We went to Tampines office. We were early for like 15-30 minutes. We called ID assigned 2x he said he is on his way. Then the one on the shop after 30 min gave us a bond paper to fill up what we want because the ID assigned can't make it. Because the website shows they are cheap we patiently wrote down what we wanted then the ID finally arrived. Then talked to us less than 15 min because next couple appointment arrived. But in fairness, he did email us very punctually the quote with everything that we requested and with clear price per item. Still no decision. We saw posts on this forum regarding Ideal house. Good review and affordable. Posted inquiry on their site but still no reply. No number to call also. Anyone can send us the number thanks.
