Day 2 & 3

Walls come tumbling down

initially, i was a little sketical about having to knock so many walls down, as i was told we will have to rebuild them in future when we do sell the flat, hence the hesistant.

After this panel of wall came down, i am more than glad to have it totally remove.

before

after

cimg2713.th.jpg

the entrance of the kitchen shall be pushed back by 1m with 4 full height clear glass panels to widen the room.

Some minor decisions have been made today, we were given the official quotation, and FH realised that quote only includes changes of switches and points and not rewiring the whole place. Seek Uncle's expertise and he told us no need to, but we decided against it anyways as this unit is a mature unit and rewiring is much advisable.

Expected in Day 4

1) delivery of tiles

2) plastering of walls

3) rewiring

I wonder if we are in time for the installation of aircon on Monday?

wow, i totally apologize for M.I.A for the past 7 days, much has happened and i am still trying to groupe with the fact that i lost a good friend/ sis in law last friday.

May you rest in peace, Ivy.

Being absent from my reno process, i was awed to see so many changes. First, my white kitchen is finally taking shape, with the kitchen walls and floors done. However, we soon realised that there was a major mistake and miscommunication between the tilers and Alan, and our fully flushed kitchen floor did not take place. Uncle Soon had to re-order the tiles they have finished tiling and also add on stryofoams on the floor to level up the height of the kitchen floor to the same as the living room. Good job to Uncle Soon and Alan for rectifying the mistake done quickly. :yamseng: we also have a brand new shiny PURPLE chute up as well! (i was hoping for the PINK) :dribble:

My purple chute :dancingqueen:

Unflushed Kitchen floor, look at the drop down! We were afraid the kids will trip over the kerb and thats why we insisted on a Flush flooring.

strange, i had to break my post up into two as it simply cant upload , error message "too many fotos??"

Apart from this, the wall for my mini W-I-W in my MBR is done up, tiling for both MBR and Common toilet done up complete with grout lines. Think its a nice job done, maybe because we skipped the mosaics and its easier to tile. You guys should see how TINY the MBR toilet is!!! i have to slim down more! Both toilets windows were replaced with nice WHITE nato ones, yummy! they look GOOD! New door way for the MBR is also constructed!

our brand new WHITE nato windows for toilets

new doorway for MBR toilet

Progress looks good, aircon trunking up, thou we need the fujitsu guys to come and ractify the living room unit, otherwise, i believe tiling should be completed this week! yippee! electrical & capentry should be due soon!!:dancingqueen:

Hi, maybe to ease your mind a little, I've bought some furniture Winter International sometime in Feb 09, and I've changed the delivery dates for about 3 times. Final confirmed delivery date was on 15/05/09, and all the furniture were delivered on time and without any errors. Hope you'll have the same experience as mine :)
