ivy 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Folks, to tell you honestly.. there is a BIG PRICE TO PAY LE... to keep all white! my gosh.. i tell you, i have scrubbed, sweeped, and cleaned floors more than i have done in my whole entire life! the kitchen flooring especially, though extremely nice to walk around, its the hardest to maintain, coz i have been SCRUBBING lorx.. btw, post reno fatigue, and due to lack of sleep.. i am now down with cough, flu and fever...ahahahhah... costs of vanity and perfectionism.. Olso, one ting to remb all folks, some very IMPT pointers, if you intend to do suspended bottom cabinets, do remb to leave at least a 0.5 gap between the divider and the cabinet... for ease of clearing debris from under, you have no idea how much the ah nehs simply sweep the DEBRIS under my ah laoz did a small mistake by keeping the side of the bottom cabinet (hood/hob/sink) to the max near the glass divider, i practically had to sleep tummy down on the floor to dig the debris out... true about the maintenance part. so maybe it is a blessing in disguise for me who hates to do housework.. *hint hint* BD - I will be a lousy maid. do get enough rest and build up u immunity, esp with H1N1 circulating in the community. take care take care! I like how u turn the utility room into a study, simply yet nice! Mrs Piglet, the winter TV console, despite the errors, are practical & more economical, coz we can move the console out, when the wires get too messy. My gf was grumbling to me that her current custom made feature tv console is kinda fixed, means, its harder for them to fix up wires to the back when needed... in the end, all her wires are hanging in front of her tv now... kthc 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Hi xvirusga76, Did you choose solid core for your white kitchen laminate? We are also going to do glossy white cabinets & solid surface. Your kitchen look really good  Btw, where did you get the dining table from? Thanks.
xvirusga76 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) Hi xvirusga76, Did you choose solid core for your white kitchen laminate? We are also going to do glossy white cabinets & solid surface. Your kitchen look really good  Btw, where did you get the dining table from? Thanks. Kthc, thanks for your compliments! we were toying with the idea of solid core for kitchen, but its way way much pricier, 188++ per piece, so when we did our sums, we opted out due to budget constraints. we are using Lamitak's high gloss White for both the kitchen & MBR wadrobe. Depends on individual, either the High Gloss Chalk (pure white) or High Gloss White (off white color) is cool. Extendable Dining Table (1.2 extended to 1.8m) is from Winter @ Sungei Kadut. kthc 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Thanks, then how do they 'seal' up the edges? Cos if not solid core, there'll be some visible lines right? May go there to take a look but too much poor feedback about them, not so keen to buy from them.

Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2009 Hi xvirusga76, Your house look good and cosy. I like your glass sliding doors. Did you hack the wall and put those glass sliding doors? It really make the whole place look spacious.
