growler 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) lol don't be jealous la... Workers who are willing to work on PH and Sundays are very few... cannot spread them around so many hours... oh ya. growler, I'm the one who went to kaypoh your blog and leave comments. haha My group of tilers are mainly malaysians. I asked Uncle if they can speed up over the weekend but he said he don't want to risk it... This is one the subcontractors that he used. Not his own worker, so different i guess .... pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2009 haha yes it's probably the quieter works which is why the tiler is allowed to do. Carpentry is very noisy you know.. Aubrey... I'm parking here waiting for photos..........

You saw the tiling works in my blog? Now they've applied the grouting. Once covered, can't really see the gaps, so i guess will just give and take ... Your tilers are ok mah ... why change? The best thing is that they're willing to work on the weekends to speed up the works. Mine are subcontractors so they don't really want to work over the weekends .... (unless Uncle tells them lar ...)
familyof4 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2009 i agree with growler. I also saw some unsightly gaps till the groutings done, it looks much better...wait for it to be done and if really unacceptable, tell uncle about it.

It's good to working with Jeremy - luckily, bad things did not happen to me! Btw, what's the review? I've just recommend Jeremy to my friend. I'd be better if I let him know the thread, then he can decide and take his responsibility Let me find my cable, then upload photo Anyway, my kitchen design is different from yours. My is fridge - hob -sink- washer on straight line, and dining in the kitchen.

aubrey 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2009 pet! so sorry if u have been camping for pictures! just realised that i did not bring my card reader to office and its a crazy monday. my email at work is down! thought can do less work but now have to do more by calling everyone to send email to my personal email add. growl! will have to go home to upload it. familyof4 yup pretty smooth sailing! i cant complain. uncle's men and uncle are such nice kind people, best thing is my house is getting better bit by bit. btw, do u have pics of your kitchen floor tiles? they delivered the wrong ones to me and i am waiting for the right ones, taking some time. and i have not seen it as uncle recommended me to get yours. growler my master tiler is the best, he is meticulous, i like it as i am into details. the rest are ok, but just a little slow. i offered to trade cos u said u wanted them to work over the weekends. my grouting is not done yet, i hope they know to match the tiles with the correct color for grout. michele the post i am talking about is here: CLICK i cant speak since i did not use him. but if ur experience was good, then perhaps its a one off case. either way, eagerly looking forward to your pics!
