i get what u mean with the waiting! its so slow! like i can see moments of my life flash by just by looking at it close. -_- its good that it doesnt slam. hate it to slam. my mom likes it too.. but thats for now. are we like, able to push it down when we are in a hurry? or will spoil the mechanism?

talking about jason, so far have not seen him. uncle says jason will come on thurs. so fast he hacked my wall for my tv console but i have not seen the layout yet, feeling a little uncertain of wht to expect. uncle told me to not be so gan cheong but how not to!! did he FOC the blum stuff for u? im quite confused, so many people around using uncle. i wonder what blum is he giving me FOC. is it tandembox? he mention its the $30+ ones.. but i dont know if we are on the same page.

the permit uncle applied is till 28th may but i need to know if he can at least let me move my things back in by 28th may. if not i will have to extend. hope that in the worst case scenario, uncle will at least let me have living room ready to move big items back. the smaller ones will have to wait. i can ask for perhaps 1 or 2 days extension from the flat owner. keeping my fingers crossed.

aiya didnt do any symphony. not all the toilets have soft closing. and wow i must have looked and sounded so swaku today. i went to enquire on the entire set for my kitchen. was asking about basin. the girl informed me basin 1 price, tap 1 price, the stopper (the one u pressed to stop water from flowing down thingy) 1 price, even the plastic cup at the bottom is a separate item at $5! i thought these things should come together! whats the big idea of separating them! i can understand separate costs for basin and tap but not the others! tsk!!!

No. My hacking starts on 5th May. Uncle told me they will be here between 9-10am.

The tilers never drop anything. Maybe they are doing your unit. My unit will probably be another group ba ....

I didn't get the details, when I first heard the price tag of $200 per drawer, I already dropped the idea completely. I haven't started on the new blog yet. Still considering, if there's a new blog, I can't continue from where I stopped, I would have to restart all over again. And you guys and gals would be seeing the same old things again.

yea quite fast for today! just need to fully hack the kitchen wall till the ceiling and we're good to go for the tiles. hope its delivered asap!

I didnt get the blum thingy, mine was normal soft closing by another brand IREX which i'm perfectly fine and living happily with it! The drawers r a little tough to open but i'm ok with it. it helps when my hub's naughty nephews cannot open them, otherwise will end up like my fridge - 1 hr they open a few times. If uncle says urs is the expensive one, then it shd be BLUM!!

The toilet seat thingy ah... i think in the long run will spoil the mechanism if we push it down while its trying to close softly. But i understand that it wears out eventually, esp if we lift it up n down very frequently.

ya it is! and can u imagine? dunno if its me or what but after standing there for not more than 30 mins and i am starting to itch. i am sooooo grateful i manage to get all things to work out and am staying next door!! just counting my blessings. it all started when i joined renotalk! and yes, i agree that a lot of progress have been made for such a short time, but i think the size of my house helps, after all, it's just a 3 room improved.

ya i sort of lost count on who is doing what and who are the people doing their renovation with uncle. i think its time to highly circulate the list from KFC so we can track uncle's projects.

we're getting full height wall tiles for my kitchen hence the holes. partly due to the tilers telling me: "if u want it to be better quality work for the tiles ah, u tell the ppl who are hacking to hack more holes that are bigger ok? easier for us to do and better quality for you. but you don't say i say one!" so i told those who are hacking to follow those instructions.

is IREX the standard that uncle uses for all his carpentry? Im just a little confused with what's what. so if i am not fussy i can just get the tracks right? tandembox is the entire drawer right? so confusing. oh my house has no kiddies anymore and my cousins are all grown up. but my guy cousins are too strong for my old house. one of them spoilt my iron gate and 1 of the switches. think he pressed too hard so the switch is a little off now.

so if that is the case, are you considered lifting up a lot? i enquired with chuan heng ytd, soft closing cover is $20/pc so if it spoils, i think it's still a reasonable price to pay for replacement.

wow aubrey, your reno is happening very fast leh! when u planning to move in? how come all your things on the floor? u didn't pack it into cardboard boxes huh
