Thanks folks! To be honest, this is the FIRST time so far that Uncle's scheduled progress is ahead by 1 day. Usually it is delayed. So I am really happy that managed to keep at least one thing ahead of schedule. I have quite a fair bit of carpentry works, so I hope that can also be kept within the timeline too.

I need to call the furniture shops, electrial shops etc and tell them to change my delivery. Initial HO for me is actually next week

Precious, it is not possible. Even 8 June is quite a rush for them. they will try to at least have my altar, tv feature, and all 3 wardrobes up first. If they can complete at least the feature wall, and 3 wardrobes next week, I will be very happy already!

Carpentry should be very fast one leh. Most of the stuff are done at the factory. They just need to deliver the carpentry to ur house and assemble them. I rem mine was assembled like within 3 days! :)

my carpentry went up within 1 day but there are alot of areas that I need them to rectify. Some obvious no brainers include:

1) Some gaps between the doors are too big to the extent that you can see the shelvings.

2) The fixed panels for my lower cabinet was installed in a wierd manner and you can see the edges.

3) damaged interior laminates which they intend to cover up using silicone.

4) Bad installation of my hood. Slanted to one side and they didn't estimate the height.

Will provide more details in my blog ...

hey fannie, when are u installing ur curtain tracks?? Jimmy Textile called me wanted to come next week, but I postponed to 2nd week of june. Cos i worried that if i install it too early, by the time HO, the curtain tracks will be full of dust.

Should the track be up before false ceiling goes up? or is it ok to do it after?

Just need to leave clearance for the tracks. Normally, 4" for single track and 6" to 8" for double.

HO then up tracks and curtains.

Since curtains normally take around 2 weeks to do, just plan accordingly to your HO schedule.

the measurements need to take tonight then let u know :P

I'm putting the standard in here as what hubby said... HTH

- beside sink workspace at least 30cm,

- in between sink and hob at least 60cm.

- beside hob at least also 30cm.

- in between 2 facing cabinets there must be at least 120cm space for walking comfortably.

- oven height is standard if they do wrong then u can whack them. haha

- sink, hob and fridge form a triangle rule, in between these 3 preferably 80cm

Saturday, 2 workers (ah kiat and a chinese man). They were doing the pebble wash flooring at 3 areas namely, foyer, outside 2 level 2 bathrooms.

saturday021.jpg

saturday020.jpg

This job is confirm completing on the day itself and Uncle says, Monday shall be the day for patching and polishing my parquet flooring. After that, painting...

As for carpentry, met up with Ah Wei again and finish off whatever outstanding. added a small bookshelf for the kids books and mine, the shelve will not be enough, better than none actually. added on a 2metre studay table that is behind the altar.

THe cornices in 2 common rooms were up, one of it, the mesurement is wrong, and needs to be changed. False ceilings all ok, the partition dividing the study area and altar is up, albeit the length of the partition is way too short. Ah Wei already feedback to Jason before I pop by.

Carpentry has started fabrication, hopefully I can see something at least a week later...gonna pop by and see if the cover up my floor properly as guaranteed by Uncle.
