familyof4 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 a quick qn for fellow "sooners" who changed their windows & casement. Does the window latch comes with a safety lock feature? Mine doesn't and generally those that I saw all comes with it. I just do not buy the story that Ah Hock says this is the latest trend that there is no safety lock feature? From this, I think all can guess my displeasure in the whole reno is the aluminium works. Elder Goh knows about it, Uncle knows about it and had agreed that it was not very well done and had called Ah Hock down several times too. anyone has their picture of the windows done can show me to compare? I am gonna take picture when i pop by this evening. to show u all what I mean.

pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Safety lock meaning? mm I didn't change my casement windows but Jason changed all the locks and window handles for me cos they were falling apart. The ones he put back look like the previous ones... just newer...
familyof4 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Thanks Gaku, i can't see it on the casement of the windows...but never mind. what makes me boil is, they installed the grilles and guess what? in the end some parts of the lock cannot be turned fully as the grille is positioned too near to the windows!! Don't they test before that? and it took them forever to get this rectified Edited June 11, 2009 by familyof4

Don't they test before that? and it took them forever to get this rectified I have the same problem and have to be very careful when closing the windows, else the handle will scratch the grille. When moving the grille also have to be careful because it is rubbing against the handles. I do not have any buttons for the lock/knob as well.
