Our 2 Storey Abode

I really hate trouble. the possible problem is with the catchment when we slide in and swing?

During my discussion, I was told that if the person using is not familiar example guest, he might not slide the door fully and then force the door to be opened. That will cause some of the parts to break. I forgotten the term he used. He told me he changed until scared.

Icic...sigh...if so troublesome, I may just change back to bi-fold. Let me go and have a look one more time before I decide. This door is giving me headache. as the bathroom is really small, and the kithen area is not too big, so I though using PD door can save some space.

I would suggest you talk to the people doing the installation. Do you want Ah Hock's hp?

I have Ah Hock's number :) Thanks :)

I am intending to go to the PD door showroom and have a look again. The last time I went, I quite like it. But if there is potential problems, I will reconsider. As the kids are still young, I also do not want them to face problem when they try to close the door.

Yoz, I using PD door at my wash area. It is abit troublesome to educate guests on how to use. But so far, there's no pblm with the door. My frens all say that the door is cute, and no probs after telling them how to use the first time. Very good to use, and it's not as noisy as bi-fold doors wen I open/close it. And yes, PD door really saves some space.

I wanted to use bi-fold at first, bt we'll have to install the tracks inside the kerb of the wash area. With PD door, Yeak installed it at the outside ledge. This gives me abit more space in the wash area. And since the door can swing 90 or 180degs, it really makes it easier for me to get things from inside. :)

Haha, true true. Mine so far was fine. Think ur guests will be careful with ur new stuff bah. I have a friend who suggested that I past a poster on how to use the PD door for guests during Housewarming. Hehehe, maybe u can consider that and write "Be Gentle with It!" on the poster. :P

hehe...maybe I should just put there: Please approach the owners for assistance" :P

Hi familyof4,

I've actually just installed a bifold door from snowden, cost is around $310 inclusive of GST and installation. As I'm very particular about dirt and algae/mould that gets trapped on the lower track and I'm not too comfortable about PD doors, went for this and we simply love it.

Here's the webpage from which I purchased my woodgrain lookablike bifold door.

Cheers,

Janice

You want to install PD door?? Maybe you can install the PD door at the MBR Bathroom as it is usually use by you and hubby and for the common bathroom just install the bi-folding one as usually is being used by guest. How does this sound??

i agree with Angel on the part with guests! I had to run after my hubby's mahjong kakis when they go toilet, cos they will be stuck at the toilet door. :notti:

Quite torn with this decision. I like PD door for the fact it saves space. Hubby and I didn't like bi-fold (those with top-bottom tracks as mentioned by mrspiglet, the problem with the gap.

zerochristy, I am using glass door for my 2 other toilets at L2. only the L1 toilet I though if changing. Let me go think think and decide.
