gaku70 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Hi, the console suspended by how many cm? oops I didn't save the drawing. Think should be about 30cm. You might adjust the height if you want to put woofer below.

TV console too high not nice leh...best to leave some space on the side for woofer. If you have seen Philips subwoofer for their soundbar or Pioneer sub-woofer, don't think it is possible to fit under the console. It's about 33cm height I think. So what is your recommended suspended height? Edited May 19, 2009 by gaku70
familyof4 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2009 Thanks for the inputs guys! Will anyone be meeting Uncle today at around 2pm - 3pm or any time before that? I am trying to meet him up to discuss something and took half day leave to meet him so that I do not clash with people who wants to meet uncle after work. If you don't intend to put woofer below the console or you have slim flat type of woofer, height around 25cm (from floor to bottom of console)? If you do the console too high, your TV will need to adjust up accordingly and may not be at your eye level. Edited May 19, 2009 by ocheeeng

Let me share the pictures before I continue with our discussions. The water pipes are up. The storage heater The mixer tap for the kids' bathroom Chute cover installed All ready for the false ceiling

familyof4 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 The paint delivered Do you find this piping looking quite odd? My concern about scratched and dirty floor was not unfounded. MBR parquet to be retained One of the common rooms My white flooring in the hall I spoke to uncle about my concerns regarding: the uneven skirting: he says he will try to rectify and cover up to minimise about dirtying the flooring and scratching the parquet: he assured me that they will lay the paper once the flooring are done. but I am not doing anything to my 2nd floor(?) he says will get them todo it on friday after the first round of cleaning upon completion of flooring. about painting: I noticed some stains on the new windows and asked if they can try and be mre mindful. He says he will get the guys to clean up. about the progress: the pebble wash was no where seen, some groutings not completed, the covered up of my parquet flooring for the affect area due to hacking and relocating of the door is also undone. Uncle actually called the tiler (Ah Kiat) even before I asked him! the false ceilings supposed to be up by today, no sign no picture. uncle also arranged for them to work on today and tomorrow so that by friday, he can get the tiling group to finish whatever they are supposed to for my unit. Finally, the HO date is rather uncertain. Jason says HO can be done on the date that I wanted, 8 June seems rather tight as carpentry guy, Ah Wei wanted me to give him a few more days. He tried not to delay me as he understands the date to 安神 is important. and if I miss this date, I need to wait for another month. I can't afford to delay as my girl needs to start at the new school pretty soon. Having kids around, I also do not want them to stay at a house with ongoing rectification works as the dust can be unbearable, as i have a little crawler. The carpentry guy, Ah Wei is really quite pro. Some of my requests were not too practical, and he actually told me directly and gave me ideas on how I can improve on it. I am really glad There are some changes to my initial designs done with Jason, he will sketch and email me once everything is ready. I shall wait for his email... He started fabricating my wardrobes and TV feature wall already. I am meeting the wall paper guy from Goodrich this sunday. Hopefully things will be soon soon for me. I trust Uncle to arrange for the smooth HO. He does look really tired yesterday. Pity him having to run here and there...but I can't help but also impose some datelines as I really can't aford too long a delay for the works.

To Fannie...do take care of yr health. Thanks Wendy and Blue. I am feeling weak and wonky from the meds...but I am fine. Yah...uncle understand that internet biz is vital, he is trying to make changes. He is thinking of stopping th factory work so that he can put in more time to manage the workers and projects. He also mentioned that he had spoken to Alan regarding his quotes, I am sure his prices are still good and he hopes to help people like us with budget, but hoping to buildour dream house fulfill our dreams. He is kind by nature...just that many things were beyond his control as he has too many things to manage.
