familyof4 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2009 seeing a few on Uncle's latest projects and feedbacks, I really have to worry about mine too...I half-suspect that similiar thing will happen to me eventho uncle guarantees that he will use better workers for my house and Ivy's. I know uncle takes pride in his works, but being overloaded, I am sure he won't be too meticulous in all QC checks. Guess end of the day, I will be able to manage the whole project well enough. lawry 3 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 Hiera, that's a good place to put the altart I guess Lawry, another reno for u? Yes, I'm very tempted, at least replace those hideous carpentry. familyof4 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 Uncle's price is really attractive...looking at ur saga, it dawned on me that be it an ID or contractor, whoever can do the job well is a job well done! I do not need fanciful drawings, but common sense in terms of works...
lawry 3 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 3D drawings is for people who can't visualise (like myself, I prefer to see a drawing to know what I would be getting). But if any contractor or ID knows exactly in his head what he will be making without a drawing, good common sense. and a team of good craftsmen to carry out his wishes. You already got it, and that unbeatable price!
familyof4 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 Went to our place today...nothing much, the workers were still working when we were there at 3-ish. The hacked walls were "smoothen" with cement already Balcony Kitchen Walkway on level 2 common toilet The kids' room new wall Uncle confirmed that the tilings will be starting on Monday, that is tomorrow! Since Hubby's work place is nearer, he is tasked to drop by and monitor the progress of the works. I will not be able to pop by daily as it is pretty tiring for me. I hope the instructions given to uncle will be conveyed to the workers.
