apples 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 rondy u're right, pd door should not have this problem. the problem lies mainly in the installation part, must "catch" it correctly. we done ours a few times (rectify) and now the mbr pd door is perfect, common toilet pd door is 95% nia as the closing alignment is not exactly to the door frame. it should be smooth closing between the two joining tracks to the end. if you have to jerk it forward or backward in order for the two tracks to join and your first door to slide into the second, then the problem is the installation part. best is to get PD door specialist to install. fondue, is yours installed by ah soon or the pd door specialist? our common toilet one also not very smooth even after rectification, now they have taken it down. hopefully tomorrow after they install a new one, it will be smooth
mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 apples I think the installation plays a major part. Somehow i feel the getting the PD door company to do the installation will be better. Ah Hock only buy from them and install on behalf, so sometimes they may miss out certain things. My common toilet had some cracky sound after i shifted in, called them to check and realised the bottom of the door and some parts dropping out, hence the noise. After rectifications, both toilet doors are swee swee now

Jason only told me that they will install it tomorrow, hopefully it will turn out fine.

apples 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Just a update on the progress .. I saw the lights was on at my place late last night .. and i was wondering who was there when it was so late. Then my hubby saw someone at the window and guess it was ah soon, so i called him immediately. Wah bingo, it was really him! So we quickly change and rush over to go over the outstanding items with him. During our discussion, Ah Soon saw that my bedroom 2 door was damage. Story was that I had cleaned up that room and to prevent dust from getting in, i placed a wet towel to cover the gap. But I didn't know that door was not nyatoh and then it got damage when the water seeped in. Well, it was really my fault and my hubby called a door contractor to get a quote for replacement without telling jason or ah soon. Anyway, Ah Soon was very kind and offered to replace the door for us there and then. So the door was installed today and already painted, for free! We were really impressed with his dedication and efficiency There are still some outstanding items: pd door at common toilet, mbr wardrobe doors so hopefully it will all be fixed before saturday

Cost price higher for them as well. Jason kept telling me the door is very expensive. But i like it that i can keep the doors closed tightly from outside even when no one is using, unlike bi-fold doors. Dun like the idea that my toilet door is facing my sink area lah. *smelly smelly* Uncle is so gd to chge the bedroom door for u FOC! Lucky u!

apples 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2009 Time for an update .. We had a major scare last Friday when city gas technician came down to turn on the gas. After running some tests, he said there was leak somewhere and he could not turn on the gas. I immediately called Jason ..but cannot get him. After many rounds of frantic calling, I finally got Ah Soon. Ah Soon told me that he may need to tear down the kitchen cabinets since part of my gas pipes are concealed the cabinets. As the city gas guy had already left, had to call city gas mainline again and they told us they can only send a officer down the next day. I immediately said no, and 'beg' for someone to come down because we were moving in the next day. After some ding-donging, the same city gas guy was sent back. Ah Soon managed to get 'Ah Chong' to come to my place and after removing a small section in the cabinet, they found a dented pipe and got it replaced. I really Thank God that they managed to find it there, or else I cannot imagine if they have to redo the kitchen cabinets. We moved in on Saturday while my wardrobe door is still being fixed. There was really chaos with the movers and carpenters around the house! Only when it was late in the evening then we realised that one of cabinet doors got dented .. guess it must due to the lack of space at that time. Told Jason about it yesterday when he came by with the bak chang. Hopefully it will not costs us too much Sorry no pictures yet as there are too many boxes and bags and things not yet unpacked. We are just dead tired from packing (never did we realised that we had accumulated so much things!), moving and cleaning. Will update again when our place ke yi jian ren After moving in, we found some more rectifications, e.g. water flow in MBR shower a bit slow So, hopefully will get it all fixed in due time. For new owners using city gas, please arrange to turn on your gas earlier. Hopefully no one will have to suffer the anxiety and agony that I had to go through during those 2-3 hours

Thought when they do installation of the pipe, should have done a check. Might be during cabinet installation, there is some knock on the pipe. For the rectification, did you arrange weekend when you are around or still using the number lock?
