Any good deal at Expo "modern living " show ??

how much for renovation works as below for my 5rm resale flat ;

2 toilets retiling , lay new floor and wall tiles.

Kitchen retiling + new cabinet .

living hall hacked marble floor ... lay 600mm x600mm homogenous tiles.

foyer partition panel + full height shoe cabinet

repainting whole house.

HUH why do you want to hack your marble flooring? Anything wrong with it? Can save some money by not hacking it.... what about overlaying with the tiles? if the marble is in good condition you can overlay.

Need dimensions to help you with the cost.

What is the size of your kitchen and the layout of your cabinets? How long? Top and bottom? tiling of walls or floor only?

Yup usually marble should be able to just do repolishing...unless you don't like the color/pattern of the tile?

because the most of the renovation costs are due to flooring and carpentry, you would be able to save quite abit; and some would say marble is quite ex so next time your flat would have a higher resale value.

and how old is your place? overlaying is not recommended for old houses as the waterproofing layer would have been worn off.

repainting is 1200-1600 for 6 colors, for 5 rm flat should be closer to 1500.

have any ideas on what concept you would like to pursue? modern?

my new resale place is abt 8~9yrs old with broken marble **** hall, some area , i check that there is some cracklines.... i had bad experience with my current place when i took over 5yrs ago ....also a resale house with broken marble, minor cracklines, i didnt care and just do polishing... to my horror ..after polished and chemical wash , crack or bigger and chipped off alot portion....

i will need to check my floorplan for size of kitchen.

toilet i wanna hack off and lay new tiles..

Whoa you've had bad experience before.. no wonder scared now.

My toilet hack off all tiles and relay+ waterproofing cost about $1500 each. (but i renovated the whole house...) Tiles go up to $3 each and I added some mosaic in one.

Actually, u can do patching. It will prevent the cracks from getting bigger n not easily seen. It do save a few K to redo the flooring.
