rendell 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) First time posting. Hi yapyap do you know what is the cost to shift the electrical & water meter? Thanks. I think it depends on the work required. Mine was nearly $500 bucks to shift the water/electric meter and lightings away. I guess it was expensive because HDB permit was required to shift the things. Did not use window grille but large sliding glass windows and a wooden door to contain the area. Edited March 1, 2009 by rendell

Do you rem how much it cost for the window/door and wall?

Do you rem how much it cost for the window/door and wall? Yes, there is a false wall to hold the door frame and the windows frame. We use back HDB door and the grill We have clear sliding windows without grille that stretch all the way up the ceiling. I will have to ask my dad the total cost. rendell 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2009 (edited) Thanks Rendell!!! My dad only remember total cost of shifting the water/electric meter = $550 (exclusive of $200 for the HDB permit) ... so total cost for shifting is $750. They don't remember the false wall price because included in total reno. sorry. As for the windows or doors, got his own people to do it...so supplier price. hello88 2 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 yup rendell... no choice. Want to ask.. this shifting of lights and stuff... Can we ask our own people do or HDB people do and they charge us? depending on what needs to be shifted. HDB would send the letter out, informing owners to contact the respective department to carry out the assessment and whether this and that need to be shifted. eg PUB electrical metre, PUB water metre, SCV cable box, etc. Payment to be made to the respective departments for works carried out.
