I saw the join at my kitchen wall tiles...it ok for me for the joint to be in those white strip...the workmanship is very fine..so far very happy for the result... If you are using ceramic wall tiles, try to get you ID / contractor to show you how he / she intend to cover the 90 degree joint. I didn't know initially until too late. I didn't know that it's standard method to add a pvc strip (look at the brown strip on my master toilet cement rack). Me and my wife is a bit particular about it. Some of my friends say it blend in quite well with the tiles but we felt that it's very ugly. My ID mentioned that this is the "usual" way to do it. there's another to do it which is "slice" the tiles end to 45 degree so that when both side joined, it'll look nice but the drawback is that it'll be very easily crack and break. The PVC finishing is not ugly for all tiles, some tiles, i.e. white color tiles like below (the cement rack in my common toilet), the PVC will not stand out and seldom people will notice about it so it's still alright. That's why you need to find out what color the PVC your contractor / ID is using before it's too late. Some people don't mind though... Just a piece of heads up... Ohhh... the exact same problem as mine... my ID used the PVC strip as well... initially was wondering what they are. Apparently, it comes in only 3 colours - Black, White and Brown. Gives a nice smooth edge but not really there in terms of aesthetics. I saw some other people (maybe old style) use a row of mosaic tiles an alternative. Anyway, done already, have to close 2 eyes. Told my ID, i'll showcase my whole house as it's quite nice now except my master bathroom as my wife and i felt that it's quite ugly because of the PVC strip. The concept, the tiles is quite nice. xherion 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 hi shkeat, my bathroom was light brown colored and used the same brown pvc strip as well i think it's probably better than 45 deg angle tile since it can crack easily, look a bit weird at first but is ok now. yours look ok too don't worry too much about it, your toilet tiles are very nice, got luxury feeling hehe. do you know is downlights can come in cool white (in between warm/day light) my living/dining is using warm light also but found them to be too yellowish, prefer the cool white Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just resolve my dining table concerns... Bought a new set yesterday Dining table but with the chair in the picture below but in lighter brown Delivery next week but without chairs. I found JB downlights more designs to chose from. based on your experience... is it more economical to get it there? My cousin bugging me to get it from JB. All my lights except toilet lights and most of my toilet items are from there. In fact i plan to go back there soon to get curtain cause i found that the quote here are quite ex (few hundred dollar more on same material)... Only thing i can't get from there is electrical item that only provide local warranty and pedestal bowl. Even my ceiling fan are bought from there but collect here (Fanco)... shkeat 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 If any on you guys ever go to FurnitureOnline at Blk 506 Tampines Central 1 Level 3 (above S-11 & Shop N Save), don't look for 1 uncle with thining hair and specs. Very rude and bad services. Look for Peter or someone else. Had a very bad experience there today. Wanted to change the chair i choose to another design, Peter previously told me i can choose any of the chair design there but when i go there today (wanted to change the chair to another design as the one i choose don't have cappuccino brown), unfortunately Peter was away and this uncle entertained me. He keep giving me crap reasons and show no interest to help. Only after i say i'll call Peter to ask only he say he'll call. And when he can't get him, he say he write down the model i want and will ask Peter to call me back. Still quite pissed off by his service Luckily i manage to hold of Peter after i left the place and had to go back there again to comfirm my chair design.. Also, does anyone know any contrator / window laminator that provide good quality but cheap non-see-through lamination? I need to laminate my study room sliding door as that room sometime will be used as guest room. Initially wanted to put curtain but then feel that too many curtain in 1 room will be quite odd so scrap the idea and decided to put lamination for privacy purpose.
