Angel81 1 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Agree with pinkpetter that you should get more quotes to compare. But there's quite a number of carpentry, which is always a killer. By the way, did the contractor charge you for hacking the existing carpentry? For the cupboards below the window, maybe you can consider either just changing the doors & keep inside, or hack all away and install shelves. Quite a nice way to display stuff. Oh, my contractor told me that it's not very good to overlay wall tiles. Something about the cement may not hold on to the overlaid tiles well, and may slowly slide down. Not too sure if it's true, maybe u wana check it out?

mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 agree w the rest that for overlaying, this quote is considered expensive. How abt ur WC and basins? I noticed its supply n install. They may buy cheaper WC n sinks to install n that wouldnt cost them much. I suggest u buy urself n get them to install, at least u get to choose wat u want. Take more quotes n compare... dun rush ba...

But still drooling over the sofa! hehe! yup promo still on, sofa+bedframe+tv console+coffee table=$1998, we top up $100 for king size bed frame and bought the 12" mattress as well. i tot it was a pretty good buy. the sofa is nice but i actually prefer the white one but have to top up another $100 to change the color so we got this black one instead. quite happy! I was very tempted by this promo also!! Cos it looked so classic and it's from a good brand... But I had no choice ba no budget. Well i think black sofa is always a better investment in the long run...
