Kitchen Makeover

Recommended Posts

Halo everybody!

Have been surfing renotalk for 6 months.

Learn a lot from here.

Now is my turn to share with you all my reno process.

Looking for contractor

We spend quite a lot of time looking for the right contractor

We also got our fair share of ups & downs. Prefer not to talk about them here.

We're doing kitchen makeover only, so we don't see the need to engage a designer.

Visited some contractor recommended by friend, collegue, relative & some from here.

Contractor A

Nice chap. This uncle only speak Channel 8, but we speak Channel 5, communications problem.

Contractor B

Pure contractor company, no drawings will be provided, not even hand sketch.

Hubby worry wait do & not what we want, how?

Contractor C

Can provide 3d drawings, but no colour one.

Contractor D

The only contractor that can provide 3d colour drawings.

Find that this is a real competitive trade.

Naturally we go for one which both hubby & me is comfortable to work with.

So finally we decided on Contractor D….. Edmund, recommended by my childhood friend.

My place will be going to be upgraded by hdb in 1 year++ time.

HDB will be upgrading my 2 toilets, sewerage pipe, dustbin, etc…..

Theres's why we only renovate our kitchen only.

Hacking will begin this coming Monday!

Later will call hubby to upload some drawings.

Stay tuned……..

Hi Pinklady,

Your black colour laminate got flowery pattern?

Hi Angel,

Thanks. :) Hdb tiles small one, not like yours, can choose the big tiles. :D

Hi Apple,

No lah, not spoil sport just out of concern. :P

We're here to share ideas & experience.

After upgrading, then my contractor will come back & see what things to rectify, which is 1 year's ++ time.

He also advise me to do after upgrading.

Hi Pinkpetter,

Still waiting to see other colour combination. :P
