catseyes2004sg 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 Hi, I am looking into buying a 3 room flat in Hougang. I am a first time buyer and kinda confuse by the procedure. Is it better to engage a property agent so he/she could find my dream home? I have found some units on some of the HDB resale websites and keen. Can anyone recommend a good property agent? tks. zirhk3355 1 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 I would suggest that you read up on HDB official website (www.hdb.gov.sg) to find out about the procedures, recent transacted prices in Hougang, etc. Also check out the newspapers and go view more properties before you commit. Agent is always secondary; they are merely a tool to help you in your paperwork, legwork and negotiation. At the end of the day, my advice is not to take any agents' advice and always make an intelligent decision based on your own research.

I sold my condo thru a Propnex Agent: Laurence. He's very good, professional, and most importantly, patient with all my queries. You can try calling him on 8200 6042 Edited May 4, 2009 by MrsTan

Potluck 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 I would like to recommend Charmaine Tan from DWG, HP 9115 7888 She sold my place within 3 days. Very committed and very important down to earth. No nonsense and you won't be hit by surprises or hidden agenda. I had so much problem with my HDB purchase and she was with us all the way. I can't stand those cunning agents, I've posted my experience in another thread. All I can say is I'm staying away from Propnex. I think alot of us had some bad experience with them.
