Arul Yanakan 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) Hi All Wall Paper on wall Master room - Hack a small door opening to the next room (bedroom 3 will have my study desk and 5 door wardrobe) - platform bed on raised platform - Perhaps a wall feature above the bed frame or just some good wallpaper Bathroom - vanity top - re-tile (current tile color is orange - yucks) - Rain shower ( possible to install tub in hdb bathroom) - Change lights for the whole house except for the 2 common room - air con for master room, living room As I live alone, I don't need to do much else. Does anyone know roughly how much the above will cost me to do a reno? any good place for me to look for platform beds? can anyone tell me how i can add some pics? When I click on the "Insert Image"icon, it keep telling me to add the url in the format "http://". This is weird as that is only suppose to appear when u try to add a link Thanks Edited January 26, 2009 by cjack

applefreak 1 Report post Posted January 26, 2009 spam chop you might want to consider not limiting the feature wall space for tv to 42" just in case you want to upgrade to a bigger tv next time based on your list of to-dos think $20k should suffice

Arul Yanakan 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 View from Master room This is on the 16th floor and the view should stay like this as the land in front is reserved for a CC. As the owner never lived here, its as good as brand new

tankee 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Hi cjack, Indeed a very nice flat. May I know how much is the valuation, COV and when you purchased it? Thanks
Arul Yanakan 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 It was love at first sight for me after I saw this unit. I saw about 20 units and after I saw this, I knew that I don't have to look any further. As for the price, I paid $15k below valuation. It was a bargain and the owners did not want to prolong looking for a better offer as they had kept it vacant for the past 5 years anyway. In all honesty, all it needs is some good light designs, nice curtains, aircon and a makeover of the master bathroom and its good to move in. In view of financial crisis, I am thinking of cutting back on unnecessary reno and keep the cash for a rainy day.
