cactus_79 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 I have wooden toilet doors noticed that the bottom of the doors have peeling wood. The paint has come out too. I think it's the result of water against the bottom of the doors. I plan to change the doors, but don't want the prob to recur. I've not been able to find water resistent paints suitable for wood. someone suggested varnishing wooden doors to make it more waterproof but he added that varnish is not 100% protectio nagainst water. Does anyone have wooden doors for their toilets? If so, how do we maintain these? Is there any particular door I should buy? Thanks in advance!
Diavonex 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 1. Give your new door a thick coat or 2 coats of enamel paint. 2. Change to bi-fold perspex door. 3. Change to PVC door.

maxism8 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2009 Actually i was facing this problem too! Thinking of changing it to PD doors rather then to give the wooden door a face lift. Coz i think it's a matter of time before the peeling thing starts again.
