izit? for new flat also?

just heard the plus pt tat the

-hob is cool to touch even when water is boiling in the pot n the pot can reach high temp quickly

-no danger of exposed fire or gas leak if you forget to turn off (though your electric bill would do the killing), easy to clean since surface is glass.

Disadvantages I heard of are: Not good for chinese style cooking cos you can't control the heat, limited utensils since alloys do not respond well to induction

sound to me that induction cooking will sound tastier since the heat will be uniform all over the pot and so the bottom wun get chaota as easily as the normal 1

wow sunsetbay nice info you've got! In that case, there's a limit to the type of pan you can use for induction cooker. Let's say claypot rice. Doesn't look delicious if cooked in a metal pot.

Hmm..the steamboat sounds really delicious. Maybe should go there try.

Here's a good link that talks about the pros and cons of induction cookers:

http://theinductionsite.com/proandcon.shtml

From what it says, unless you are cooking as much as a restaurant does, the costs invovled (in terms of power consumption) is not going to be very different from conventional cookers.

I'm planning to get one so I would really be grateful if anyone who has one can share his/her experiences.

Most of the shops I visited discourage me from buying it.. but I really like the pros of having one.. :(

which shop/brand sell induction hob, i need the smallest one 30cm 2 cooker type?
