rolexboy 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) Location 1 (Storeroom) - To hack seal up original door location - To hack and do up new store room door entrance with bi-fold door - Optional to do mosaic at door entrance (if tiles is not enough) Location 2 (Living room) - To construct full height display showcase - To built feature wall with suspense TV console (or normal TV console) Location 2.1 (Living room) - To box with full height sewage pipe with gysum board (water proof) Location 3.1 (Kitchen) - To seal up existing concrete sink support with doors (concrete with tile) Location 3.2 (Kitchen) - To construct concrete stove support with granite top - To construct over head kitchen cabinets Location 4 (Main bedroom) - To construct full height divider cum dress table Location 4.1 (Main bedroom) - To hack wall and make good of tile (I have balance homogenous tiles about 25 pieces (about 40x40cm type)) Location 4.2 (Main Bedroom) - To seal up door with hollow blocks Location 4.3 (Main Bed Room) - To built 18ft wardrobe (Please recommend design) Location 5 (Master bathroom) - To construct shower kerb - To install clear tempered glass with swing door Misc - To remove all existing toilet accessories. - To install wrought iron main gate - To paint whole house - To change all kitchen pipes to stainless steel I was quoted by 3 ID, 11k, 15k and 19k… So wat’s a reasonable range? Actually, I invited and the 3 of them did came to view the unit liao. The quotes amount are quite diff. I’ll go arrange for 2nd discussion to review the quotes. To be fair, I given the same requirement to the 3 of them, but all came back with some diff. They have their own style/design…etc… Thanks for the replies. Hi rolexboy, Between the 11k and 19k, you might want to align the material intended to use, where is it from, dimension and its finishes. Its 8k different! I can put up wall covering for the whole house! For eg, to design a tv console, what is the material use, how long its the console etc. Also, what type of finishes they give it to you. I just signed with my ID, his final quote is 15800. 7-8 ft India Granite for stove (black galaxy) with back splash for sink and stove support Tv console is about 5-6ft long, due to length of available wall space. He’s offering laminated finishing (standard solidwood? (plywood issit it?!). I’m doing a display cabinet by the side of the tv console location (living room), so tot of asking him to design the display cabinet and console into a “one piece” kinda thing. He quoted 770 for tv console, optional for suspense or standing. I have told him I might get my own tv console, coz I might wanna move it here and there later on… If it’s fixed, I’m stuck with it for good ma… and the tv console is selling 3-500, good design and I can live with it, like that got saving of 2-300, easily.. The quoted and accepted price… 2700 for living room (+ doing of store room) 6080 for MBR 580 for Mbath room 3010 for kitchen 2700 Misc (+ installation of water storage heater) I hope his price is okie. I’m quite tiring to run around asking for quotes and discussing with 2-3 ID…. Paisey too n busy with my work… Actually a few of my fren’s place are done by him and he’s my fren fren’s sis’s sec school mate… So I reckon he wont chop me so much, and hope he will be doing a good job..
