hi bro / sis. i'm thinking of doing a platform for me to put a queen size bed at the corner of the room. and another smaller platform at the other corner of the room for work desk n computer. anyone got any shop to recommend for custom made ? thanks in advance.

I alwiz recommend custom made for furnitures, as carpenters would tell u how big ur bedframe need to be by looking at your bedroom size.

Platforms are very common, shouldn't be hard to look for someone to do.... I can recommend mine if you need as my bro's house is havin renovation currently.

how much does it usually cost? i'm living in serangoon area 4rm flat. the room should be slightly bigger then those new flat. nvm abt the size first. i juz need a rough range of how much is it going to cost?

My 4 room flat is full of platforms. I custom made 4 platforms @ my place and 1 systemind platform in my study.

The systemind platform covers the entire study room and there are 2 study tables. I think about 6k

My dining platform cost about $4000.

Landscape platform about $1500

Master bedroom platform with tv console and 360 degree swirvel tv stand. $2000

HEH, you better think properly before building platform. Took me about 3 months then finally no longer tripping and kicking anything.

Now with my 7 month old kid, his walker is like a bumper car, go abit nia hit platform, don't really have a big area for him to walk around.

Of course it is also a big hazzard because of all the protruding sharp corners.

who's your contractor. I am currently sourcing for IDs/Contractor for my renovation and some of the IDs recommended platform bed as well and my wife and I quite keen on the idea. Intending to go for a king size too. But 2 of the IDs quote ~1000-1200 for this platform bed. Is yours laminate finish.

Joschia, in the quotation they indicate laminate finishing!!! however the actual dimension of this proposed platform is larger than the king size bed (which i believe is the same case for sohck). feel really pricy after seeing sohck's platform bed costing only S450 bucks.
