12digit 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2009 Long story so pls bear with me ... I was shopping for a washing machine & ended up at an outlet of one of the big electrical chain. I told the salesperson who serviced me that I was looking for a particular European brand of washer. This person who was dressed in the same outfit/uniform as the other salespersons in the store immediately started a rant about how the brand I wanted was expensive, how limited it's functions were, how the drum was unsuitable for Asian clothing, that I was paying a high price for the brand name only etc... This salesperson then proceeded to sing the praises of this particular Korean brand - how the drum was more suited to Asian clothes, had more functions, more value for money versus European products. I was told this brand had fewer breakdowns versus my preferred European brand. It also had higher sales etc.. Hahaha!! What a load of crap by the salesperson! How different are "Asia clothing" compared to "Europe or American clothing"? I have never heard of such clothing terms or categorization in the garment manufacturing industry. I'm in the garment manufacturing business by the way. Reminds me of the European/US/Asia sizing rubbish I hear always from consumers in the store.

SockMuppet 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 Update on this issue. I spoke to the store manager of the electrical chain as well as marketing manager of the European brand washer (that I bot') & guess what, this salesperson's 'reputation' precedes him - both have received previous complaints on his sales 'skills' and product 'claims'. DoubleJ 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 well, gotta cut the sales guy some slack. he was merely doing his job & i bet his boss would be very satisfied to have such a 'talented' employee,as he managed to sway your decisions for a moment. i mean what can he do when he was approached by you, someone whom already had a product in mind. serving you in the purchase of the european brand ~ KENA COMPLAIN with boss. promoting his employer's brand by deflaming other brands ~ KENA COMPLAIN TOO. nowdays really hard to make a living sia.haha.poor thing.
