audreysg 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 Does anyone know what could cause the toilet smelly? My renovation work is almost done and the commontoilet smells like...er... My contractor insisted nothing was wrong but I dun think so. The common toilet had no smell before the renovation If there will be an overhaul, does the floor need to be hacked? asianms 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 the commontoilet smells like...er... - does the toilet bowl flush clean? is there good ventilation? have you given it a totally good scrub? is the smell coming from the drainage hole? the boys at home used to stink up the common bathroom cos of poor aim; I had to spray bleach and rinse out the whole bathroom with a water hose every week. but the smell still remained cos that bathroom had poor ventilation. The smell also came from the drainage hole, so I also sprayed bleach on it. Didn't help much tho Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And my contractor just did a chemical wash.
