As soon I returned from overseas in two weeks, all tiles were completed and I saw the new entrance to the common toilet. Over ordered mosaic tiles. The tiles will be used together with homogeneous floor tiles at recess area. Plastering and rewiring is completed The matt white tiles with motif for master toilet Living area.Plastering is done. The contractor's bad estimation resulted in large quantity of left-over tiles. I used this point to negotiate with my designer to write off additional charges for more expensive tiles compared to contracted price range. But I doubt the tiles can be returned to the supplier. audreysg 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 The prospective drawings to me are just for reference only. The curtain is definitely not the type I will use. There are changes along the renovation. For example, the false ceiling became two runways instead of one. Main Entrance and Recess Kitchen Living and Dining Master bedroom Master toilet. I changed the position of basin and made the shower area squarish. By doing this, I can have a bigger vanity top and better utilized space. Common toilet. The common toilet door is changed from dining to kitchen. So my guests and I won't face the toilet while having dinner. I will also have a big piece wall in front the dining table to put display cabinet or buffet.

audreysg 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 Now the paniting is done. I prefer netural color or earth tone. Well my favourite color scheme is warm gold, beige, grey, contrast of black and white. These are the colors I used. The paint is ICI Dulux Living and Dining - Lily white. TV console and buffet area in living&dining - Natural Linen. I should have picked darker color with warmer tone such as Bisque. But the selection process is a bit rash and it was the first time I saw the catalog. Anyway, lighter color makes the room brighter! Common rooms - Lilac White. It turned out to be mor purplish than white. Although my family picked the color, I like it. Master bedroom - Natrual Cane The entrance with Lily White wall and white door. In order to make the ceiling feel higher, I need to choose the lighter color compared to flooring. Living is Lily White. TV concole area is Natrual Linen Cozy area wall in dining Arrgh...the repainted door needs repair Common rooms in Lilac White Dining Master toilet cabinet is up. The oak color laminate blends well with the coffee color tile strip. The toilet suite has been installed too. Lights were delivered and placed in the centre of living. I bought my chandeliers overseas so they were not here

audreysg 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) In three days, all lights were installed. The bedroom floor has been revanished and painted. I was thrilled to see the look-like-brandnew parquet floor. The workmanship is impeccable! The kitchen cabinets are up as well. But due to the short of the laminate, the cabinet above the fridge and rubbish chute can not be completed before handover. Living lighting. I could have chosen squarish PLC lights. But I ended up having round shapes ones since these were not purchased by me. Dining lighting. The chandelier frame has been installed. It's gonna take me a while to put up 100 crystal balls..
