Mine was 4 of the L-shape supporter broken, and no intention to replace the grilles yet, just wanted to DIY myself to prevent kids go near to the windows. appreciate your inputs if you happen to seen it anywhere. thanks
Diavonex 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2008 (edited) Picture is taken too close; can't reconise the window/grill. Can you move your camera back a little so that we can have a better idea what it is. Take a picture of broken part/parts if you still have it. Byr 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 I have repost the photos. appreciate your help. Hi I think the support you have shown is just a normal L shape support available at most "Gou Kim" (hardware) shop. its typically L shape in white colour as I bought some recently. Hope they are the same cos from ur pic.. they do resemble those I recently saw & bought. Hope this helps...

Hi, Thanks for your reply, I did went to "Gou Kim" shop and asked, but they told me they do not sell it. Yes, it was a L-Shape support but was in plastic type. If yours was a metal type, I don't mind using it for the safety for my kids and it would be great if you can let me know which Gou Kim or area you bought it. Thanks in advance. gladyslim 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 u can use alum. angle bar - 3mm thk x 25mm x 25mm x L40mm. Just drill 2 small holes on both surfaces - dia less than 4mm and use the phil head self drilling screw - about dia 4.5mm for tightening. don't buy countersunk head screw. Those steel or white colour plastic angle from the hardware shop is too thin and too small. not strong enough. I used 1mm thk s/s angle bar - it is strong enough.
