ivy 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2009 I consider U shaped before.... but will be the same problem cos that space there is limited. It is really up to you, if you want 2 doors. cos still, 1 door can be open at 1 time. Unless you want swing door. But again, it knocks to our main door to the MBR. With what we have planned, we are comfortable with that space. Cos definitely can't hack walls to make way for WIW... that's a luxury I can't afford with limited space. As for the study desk....... yes... think think so hard to squeeze a space for it. Cos my other 2 rooms are for my girls and my mom .Where got space for study room??? That's why even my books are out in the dining room 12ft cabinets. I am glad we design it behind that display cabinet. Flowing from the TV console. hmm ok ok I will go and think about whether i wanna "U" it to maximise space. You got 2 girls? Thought you only have 1. My husband was all eager to kick my PC out to the balcony area.. so that I won't disturb his sleep He suggested for me to create similar to urs on the wall opposite the alter but I was thinking if I do that I will be blocking lights into the living room and it is as good as me re-creating my balcony area..... and what's more it's only gonna be in use for at most 2-3 years and everything will be tugged back into the study room... unless by then my boys are ready to be splitted into their individual room.. after seeing you kitchen now the man want wall tiles for kitchen........... headache headache............ Smallboy 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2009 Ivy, ya lor, space planning headache.... we plan and plan so long....... finally seeing the end results, pretty happy with it. If your study area is not long term, just have a loose desk at your MBR. This gives you more flexibility to move things around. hmm.... I thought all kitchen walls are tiled? easier to clean....... I thought all kitchen walls are tiled? easier to clean....... original plan for us is to plaster the kitchen wall and paint it over. alot of house owners are doing that and it saves us some cost too. cleaning wise shouldn't be a problem since we dun really cook much. Smallboy 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2009 i noticed that there are wood skirtings for your tiled floor. did you request for that? Is it a must to have wood skirtings? I requested for wood skirting. Another top up... BROKE BROKE BROKE....... If using Homo tiles, usually it is the same tile skirting. If using Laminates, they will provide for wood skirting.
