FeiZai 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 Hi, is anyone currently tied down by this scheme for new flats? I'm still awaiting for my 4rm in fernvale court, and was thinking if my parents could move to a smaller flat should it be required, even if its not within 5yrs of my occupancy in my flat. I read through the information from HDB website and found that parents are allowed to move house as long as they move within the same estate. Anyone actually encounter/done this before? Thanks in Advance!
CareBear 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 Ya, I think can't move out within that 2km. Government bind us or else will have to return that 10K.
FeiZai 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 return 10k? but there was no deduction from the pricing of the house. or is that a clause biding to this scheme?

lady081980 1 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 the most don't allow your parent to buy the new house which is out of range cos 1st timer is 30k grant if u near parent grant plus another 10k so is 40k if ur parent stay less than 5 yr then u hv to pay 40k - 30k = 10k back to the government
FeiZai 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 mine is new HDB so will not actually have any upfront grant on the flat. What if they buy 2nd hand flat instead?
