Kesmond 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 Hi all, I want to DIY a simple TV Console for my living room... What i meant simple was really simple, get a plank of wood and then mount it on to the wall. I will be placing a 37" or 40" LCD TV, a mini hi-fi and a DVD Player... May i know what type of wood can i get in order to substain the weight of the 3 items? Found some plank wood that is selling at those HomeFix shops, can those woods be used? And how do i mount it on to the wall? Any guides that i can follow? Sorry abt it, but i want to save cost... thanks

Then, select a few nice "L-shaped" frame to support the planks. Do take note that the heavier the weight of the items, the bigger these frames will be. Besides the frame, probably u need the wall plug & screw? As for what else can replace the frame, I'm not too sure.....probably you can pop by IKEA to take a look @ their options, but don't buy the planks from them as IKEA's planks are made from chipboard.
