You can anchor the safe to the floor with an expansion bolt (on condition there's a hole on base of safe).

The safe we had previously was SO SUPER HEAVY it took 3 men (2 movers and my dad) to bring it down the stairs and out of the house to get rid of... Cannot imagine if burglars want to do that quietly...

But dunno if they make the safes like that anymore.

ummm... why did u get rid of the safe? u didn't find it useful? I'm exploring the option of getting a safe, so would like to know more.
