morgulboy 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 Hi people, its about time to start buying my mattress, dinning table, sofa, refrigerator etc as my unit at Tampanies The Premiere is reaching TOP. For refrigerator, washing machines, TVs, I know AudioHouse and HO AH BEE have the most competitive pricing. As for Mattress, I really have no idea which of the hundreds of shops I should approach for the best prices. I am currently looking at Sealy and Simmons. And also, does the shop at McPherson road gives good pricing? That is what the salesman from the shop told me. That they holds the best pricing.
ryan13680 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 (edited) I have friends who recommend king koil and dunlopillo, you may want to try those. I tried Sealy before and did not find them great. I bought Simmons instead, which was an expensive mistake. As for where to buy, I think the expo gives pretty good prices and the home and design exhibits happen 2-3 times a mth. Or you can buy during Robinson's sale and they will slash plenty off the mattress price. Considering the bad economy, they will be slashing more. Read around the net - it seems that Simmons quality has gone down and I am one unhappy customer. I sleep better on my Ikea sofa. morgulboy 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2008 Thanks ryan13680! Well i ordered a Sealy Coral Queen from Bedding saloon C/W bed frame @ $1799 (FOC 4 pillows, quilt cover bed set, protector). If there is any down price adjusting before delivery day, they guarantee black n white to charge me accordingly. Is there any better deals out there? Also I bought a L sofa there. ryan13680 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 hi, they can give you that guarantee because the model is named differently with a different distributor. this is the same for all mattress sellers. i am not familiar with sealy range, so unfortunately, i can't help you save a little more. if you are very comfortable with the mattress, then every cent is worth it. hope you avoided plush or pillow tops, or the non-flip thing. because plush/pillow top will settle and the non flip thing just means you are buying half a mattress.
