Can share what is recess skirting, is it expensive?

v hard to explain in words but i try...

from wat i understand from my id, steel angle plates will be embedded into the recess before the floor tiles are laid and tag into the recess. the finished work will be a recess of abt 1" high x 1" wide recess all round the living and dining area. this is to create a sleek look when wall meets floor tiles. no more conventional skirting all round.

yes not common. i sought 3 wdw contractors and only 1 of them carries it. cool!

was it a lot more expensive than normal grilles? how much?

went 2 check out the reno progress in the evening. flr tiles of living rm was done half way liao. so i tink most probably recess skirting wil b done by end of nex wk...

concealed pipings for bath mixer tiled up

concrete bases for kitchen cabinets & breakfast counter

cutting on floor tiles for tempered glass partition at floyer

satisfied with the progress so far. all floor and wall tiles can be completed by tmr. another group of workers will come to fix up false ceiling in living/dining area, kitchen, master bedroom, WIW and both bathroom.

yes all the ss water pipes are concealed. either run behind false ceilings or embedded into the brickwalls, so doesnt affect the area at all

from what i know only embedded of electrical wirings is illegal, concealed water pipes are allowed. downside of it is, if suay suay got leak then cannot recognise house liao, haha

hope it wont happen...
