addats 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) I am writing this article to help people who are still looking for ID and also for those are in the process of renovation. Please add your contribution in your reply and I will consolidate Choosing Laminate - The laminate ranges that are provided in a package are average one. This means, only the surface of the laminate is colored. The point is that when the carpenter has to join on an edge, you will see the black color (the original color of the laminate) line at the join. It will be very obvious when you choose a light color laminate. The more expensive one will have the inside color the same as the surface color. - If ABS trimming is provided for your drawers or doors, take note that the color for the ABS material is quite limited. Therefore it is important to take that into consideration when choosing laminate. For example you have chosen a laminate with fine print. But ABS only comes in single color and non glossy only. Ask your ID to show you the sample and compare first. Frosted Glass - Note that frosted glass can still see through (About 50%). If you do not want to be able to see through, ask for color glass.
