de_Pierre 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2008 Can be slate tiles, ceramic tiles, homogenous tiles, etc... Jus go to any tiles supplier saying u're looking for tiles for wet areas, they'll guide u along... All tiles r durable, only depends on ur maintainance... Mostly tiles used for wet areas r in matt finishings...
Art Ching 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2008 as for the bathroom tiles its better to use 300mm by 300mm as they have better gradient compared to the 600mm by 600mm one. so water will not be trapped there

funnymatthew 1 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 hi all,we had the same dilema for the bathroom tiles. After 2 years of use, perharps our sharing can help you to make an informed decision.our situation is:Common toilet: dark colour tiles, very roughMBR toilet: light colour tiles, but slippery.see photosour general findings are:1. Colour does not affect maintenance much (staining from a drying moist floor)2. we found what affects maintenance isa. roughness of tiles. rougher tiles are harder to clean as they tend to trap soap and skin cells.b. clearing off water the floor after every bath is much more efficient than the weekly hard scrubbing.c. use 300mmx300mm tiles to allow the tiler to create a better slope to drain water into the outlet pipe.
