crazymama 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 Would like to share my journey and dream of a 4 room flat. Fell in Love with the flat the moment i saw ... It was small compare to my current one as i am downgrading from a 5 room to 4 room but it doesnt matter. i am just too tired of doing housework ....it can drive u crazy u know ... As for our reno, we engaged, I-Bridge Design , Eric /Alvin to come up with designs of our new nest .. Told them my theme was resort zen style Natural colours painted to the wall with the touch of dark solid wood furnitures. Candles being lighted n breathin in the aroma of the scented oil....having hear the sound of a water in the living room brings the feeling of being near the ocean ., soothing as it can be with easy listening spa/relaxation music. haha I tink i am over the top liao .... just cant wait to move in lol Overall, the whole process of the renovation has been good, minor hiccups but they always give u assurance that is only a small problem or matter n it can be solved. They also took care of our costing, making sure that we wont just splurge and also making sure wat I choose was all a match to my theme. my hub let me make the decisions from choosing the tiles,colours,lightings etc.. he just want peace to his ears in long run lol .....but i make him decide where to install the lightings ....haha ....i dont want to make a boo on that i too want peace in my ears lol.......... Eric was on going, everyday, he comes to the new place n check the status of the reno n making sure that the workers are doing a proper job n if there was a sligh problem, eric will call n let us know and will advise us wat can be done This is the flat before we hack every corner of it ...... I took away the built in shoe rack as it cost over $700 plus .. ex leh i rather buy one that cost only $200-300 plus ...... from the furni shop around hdb estate .they got pretty nice ones .. The colours of the two small rooms which u see is blue n the other is purple. I did not like it the moment i saw it painted on the wall . I decided to change it to dark grey n grey... but funny thing is looked great in the 3d pic but not on the wall ......guess i could not accept it lol...i wanted resort remember lol ...dont want to loose track ..... Changed the 3 built in wardrobes colours ....master which is dark brown the other teo is grey with line patterns plus took away the two side tables n dresser ..i felt side tables was not a need ..decided to get a standing lamp next to the bed....instead .... Overall tis reno cost me $38,000............had to plaster the sand blast wall ..... boxing up cables need costing too .......but lucky we manage to a few FOCs lol.... The funny thing is this house is not even , the walls are not straight ..the beam is not either ..we had problems with that ..wanted to do a full height feature wall for our dinning but could not ..becos everthing in that wall is not straight grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. so we only managed to do it below the beam..haiz ...will post the pics soon . there goes our feature wall ..haiz...
