Angel81 1 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 From the proposal given, we will be able to tell who can design and who can't... There is this particular ID who gave us very weird layout and then told us we have to live with the ugly layout because of our geomancer's requirement. I dunno why this kind of people still call themselves 'Interior Designer' and then can admit her layout is ugly and told us "I can't do magic, you will have no choice but to live with it since your kitchen is so small and need to have a slanted hob". Such IDs should be ashamed of themselves. Still can call themselves ID.....

Angel81 1 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Angel81, but apparently this kind of people still got people recommend in forum wor. I guess they can only regurgitate designs and "can't do magic" when the challenge is thrown to them. Hehe.. At least u got to know how that ID is like before u signed with them. Hehehe.. Blessing in disguise. Can't imagine what will happen if signed with them liao and then they sae everything cannot.

va|er1e 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2008 Have been really busy with house stuff… Terence is moving in on 12th December together with our new puppy. She is a miniature-schnauzer but sadly, we can only collect her on Terence’s move in date because my mum does not like small animals. I will only move in next year after our customary. My friend gave me a baby hamster and we are also busy with settling her down, place her at my friend’s place for the time being till Terence move in too… On actual house stuff, we were busy looking for curtain… finally settled with Jimmy Textile cos’ the price is cheaper, dun need to bargain so hard and can choose most of the fabric… I always feel that it is more relax to choose the fabric when you know the price! The others like I have to wait till the end of the session then know the price, and it also means that if you want to change to another design again... you have to prepare to topup again. In all, we went to 4 curtain shops inclusive of Jimmy Textile and it’s so amazing, it’s always a different set of fabric that we like each time! Haha We are now having headache on where to put the curtain track lor, cos got a lot of beams… Well, I think renovation is ending soon, Just last weekend Alumix came and fix up the wardrobe, Aircon men came and fix up the aircon, painters came to re-paint our wealth area cos' the previous colour is wrong, and saw many electricians came down and fix up the switches and dining light... and the carpenter also came to fix up our kitchen glass backing and mirror at the wealth area... On first look, we didn’t really like the mirror on the wealth area cos’ we find that it doesn’t blend in to our black and white theme, and it is basically reflecting the whole passage-way which we are not sure if this is a fengshui concern. Have emailed the consultant today and hopefully can get an answer by end of the day… Was hopping to change it to black glass but not sure if we need to pay extra or not…and we feel guilty for wasting Kenneth’s material too. So far, we did have some unhappiness with the workmanship of the carpentry works, in fact I was so sad that I didn’t feel like updating my renovation blog… but I am really glad that after a small feedback to Kenneth, he got everything rectified and some of the laminates are even tear out and redo. Another bad news from Kenneth is that, his guys accidentally scratch our parquet flooring in our Master bedroom while changing the window… and so now there is 2 deep lines of scratches but as a rectification and compensation, he will varnish all the 3 bedrooms at no cost. Actually mine was already varnished by HDB before the renovation... So Is this a good thing or bad thing?
