payretep 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 Hi all! Been busy with work and finalizing the contract and design with my ID in the past few weeks so was not able to update. Now I officially announce that the design has been confirmed and work will start next monday! Just wana share the bedroom set that we got from picket and rail. Hope to be finally able to update regularly from now on. nice sofa which suits the theme from picket n rail? i liked the other flowery design with blue/orange/green colours Nope, sofa not from picket and rail, its from a sofa shop on the 3rd floor of the IFC. Payretep, i saw another Country Themed shop yesterday afternoon. Its at Thomson Plaza, 2nd level. if you are driving you can pop by to take a look. just by looking at the display windows, my saliva came out Hi, we have been there before already. Think we will most likely get our accessories from there only. The furniture is a little too country for us. hahaha

payretep 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Hi all, just wana share the preliminary perspective drawing of our living from my ID with you guys. This piece of wall should be the main feature of the house, with the niche window bay and settee. Also, I went down for a surprise site inspection after Loyd (my ID) told me that the kitchen overlay has been completed and they are now working on the false ceiling. : Base for the kitchen cabinets Closer look at the wooden looking finish tiles for the kitchen. Just one of the 2 "holes" in the false ceiling Contractors hard at work (maybe cos I'm there The aircon trunking has also been done up yesterday under Loyd's supervision, so I think the progress is going rather well. Can't wait til they start on the carpentry work~
pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Wah can't wait for the carpentry too! *exciting* I like the wood finish tiles. Good touch to the country theme.
payretep 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2009 Wah can't wait for the carpentry too! *exciting* I like the wood finish tiles. Good touch to the country theme. Yeah, the dark brown tiles looks surprisingly good against the yellowish wall tiles~ Anyway, think I need to do a backlog on the design process. The original ceiling design was supposed to be cottage effect, with slanted beams. let me attach the design drawing here to illustrate. Great idea, but our ceiling too low le so cannot go ahead with this idea... anyway i think the alternate idea of using horizontal planks for the house is good for the country theme too~
Angel81 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2009 Would have been very interesting if the slanted roof could be done. Looking forward to more pics!
