A & W New Home In Serangoon

Recommended Posts

Bought the following items during my weekend shopping spree. :dancingqueen:

ElectricalAppliances.jpg

Went to the highly aclaimed Poh Joo on sat to source for cooker hob and hood. The choice is between Hobs and Cuizino as both are within my budget but I decide to go for the latter because of its telescopic retractable hood. When not in use, the hood is flush with the upper cabinet...so I won't knock my head!

Sunday afternoon was spent at katong mall checking out the price for samsung LCD. The shop assistant tried to promote sharp and hitachi LCD TV to us and even did some demo to show us the difference between 50Mhz & 100 Mhz, hard & soft panels etc... But frankly, I really can't tell the difference so we made our decision based on something we can 'see'... final choice still goes to samsung for its aesthetics :good::good: Fridge and washing machine are much easier - Sharp fridge for aesthetical reasons again and LG wm because it is cheap...heehee

Total damage - almost 3.7K. Really siong on my pocket especially when I count the $$$ I have spent since sigining the OTP :( Anyway, glad to have settle some of those 'must have' items.

We will shop for lightings this sat...have slight idea what kind of lightings we want but not sure about the prices. Worry that we will get 'chop' by the shops because we don't know the market rate and we are 'thin skin' types who can't bargain well.

how much was de tv? 40" series 6?

I suggest you go shopping for the lights on your own at balestier, take down the model number and price then compare with other shops. I regretted abit for not bargaining much for my lights but since already pay deposit then bo pian.

Your contractor can recommend the lights to you but it's best not to commit when they're around- you really pay at least 20% more than a regular walk-in customer.

A couple of bloggers here have quite abit of details on the shops they went and how much they spent so you can have a rough gauge.

New updates :dancingqueen:

Cover & concealment - The aircon bracket is really disgusting, the wooden board is rotten and has lots of holes. yucks :bleah:

Half-height wall at kitchen - Notice the groove for inserting the tempered glass panel???

PICT0191.jpg

Close-up view of wall. There is a strip of PVC lining the top and side edges of the wall. Contractor says that with this PVC lining, wall won't chip-off so easily if u accidentally hit the edges. :good:

MBR extension completed

Yesterday, we went to select our toilet bowl & basin. Not many choices available so we just select something simple and not too expensive. Anybody heard the brand 'Baron' before...is it good???
