Anyone done this b4?

my TV console. just doesnt seem to match current walls and the lamination of the console is old.

I still want to use the old console as it's made of solid wood. so I need service like a relamination of all the inner shelving and the whole exterior. would like to slightly mod with glass door.

will this cost a bomb?

or should i get a new console?

Not worth it la. It is the labour that is expensive. U can enquire, i think the difference is not much between relaminate & making new one. Buy new one is more worth it.

My friend gave me a old TV console. Structure is ok, just look old, so i go & paint it. New one cost $200 over. I use left over paint to paint it. I will finish it today

Hi, I am also interested in this. Our kitchen cabinet is still quite okay but my wife wants to relaminate. Anyone got an idea of how much this cost? Please let us know. I understand building a kitchen cabinet is around 90-150 per foot run, i presume relaminate should be cheaper? thanks a lot

u can get at $50 pfr if u approach factory direct. U can also change doors $60 each door

if laminating is equal to the new one, we may go for new console.

But i have a doubt that, do we need to still pay some amount for clearing the old console. Is it(clearing the old colsole) free when we are going for new console

They might charge u. U should compare around. Even if they say is free, they already included into the quotation. I've seen them hacking kitchen cabinet before, not difficult, no need specialised equipment, just a lot of strength. If u are strong macho man, u can diy. Otherwise, u can watch out for those ah nair nair or china construction workers, pay them a bit to hack for u. U can watch out for those blocks having lift upgrading or those temp construction office, there are many loitering around.

Relamination cost ard 70% of making a new set. Hope this will clear some doubts.

Cheap may not be good and good don't come cheap.
