blursotong 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 Hi foks, If the new nozzle doesn't fit the tap, possible to buy an adaptor? For e.g. nozzle is 24mm external threaded and tap is 20mm internal threaded. Where has it? And should it be metal or plastic? TIA!
yoongf 11 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 HomeFix got a section that has wide range of such adaptors. Metal ones.
blursotong 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 yoongf, thanks for the tip! I went to the Compass Point branch but theirs is quite standard sizes. Is there another bigger branch? Was in a rush, so stupid me forgot to ask the store person. I need 2 types of adaptors: 1. 20 mm (external thread) to 24 mm (internal thread) 2. 20 mm (internal thread) to 22 mm (external thread) HomeFix got a section that has wide range of such adaptors. Metal ones.
yoongf 11 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 I have seen the full range at big branches like Thomson Plaza, Great World and Marina Sq. Comes in a blue and orange packaging, made in some Europe country.
blursotong 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Field report.. Seems like the 2 adaptor sizes I need is not very standard. Have check the major Home-Fix and Selffix branches. All don't have. Probably start asking around the hardware stores or those in the industrial estates.
gladyslim 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Not much choice for PVC material, maybe get the brass casting type. The sizes should be standard - in inches - 3/4" or 1". This adapter normally comes in set, i.e remove the thru capping at one end. The PVC one pc type is normally both ends external threads Any hardware or sundry shop selling sanitary item should have.
