What Is The Current Hacking Rate For Toilet?

I am doing a simple renov for my resale house and 1 of the item quote by the ID is the Hacking price which I am not sure what's the market rate.

1) The Toilet Floor remain and I only want to change the Wall tiles and was quoted $900 just To hack away 2 bathroom existing wall tiles.

Is this the normal rate?

2) To provide floor protection for affected area cost about $350

The only tiles work that I am doing is only the toilet wall area whereas the rest remain.

Does laying protection really require so much?
