Layout Planning... Dining Table, Sofa & Shoe Cabinet

I would put the table in the kitchen ba but a four seater and further down closer to the bomb shelter... then the fridge near the cabinets. mmmm I never like having the sofa next to shoe cabinet and my mom wun approve cos she has a sensitive nose... so I think my family will put the TV next to the shoe cabinet and the sofa against the wall instead. That way can see the people who walk in.

Are you going to custom make your shoe cabinet? If yes then ... haha try combining the console AND the shoe cabinet. back to back. I think it's pretty ok you know.

Thinking of modern style... not much built in to save $$...

The length from maindoor (when it's fully opened) to end of bomb shelter is about 1.2m. was thinking to put a hidden shoe full height cabinet, but is too narrow... and cabinet itself also takes space...

But then when come in, will see the sofa directly, seems no good in fengshui... initially thinking of puting crystal curtain on top of shoe cabinet and act as 玄关？ not sure whether this is the correct term... just to hide things in the living room, so that cannot see the whole living room from main door directly...

We never think of puting the sofa against bedroom 3 wall... But it seems a good idea... that way, we can buy a bigger sofa too...

but TV's back side to be face main door doesn't looks nice... and integrated to the built-in tv console may make the entrance looks crowded & blocked?

to make the board which hangs TV to have some pattern... otherwise when comes in from main entrance, the passage way may look very dark & narrow

Do you have MANY shoes and need a high shoe cabinet? you can have lights attached to the top of the shoe cabinet if it's gonna be very tall. then your hallway will be brighter.

OR full height shoe cabinet with a shelf in the middle where you could have lights or a small lamp. The shelf could have its back covered or a through-through so that it can help light up the other side too

The other side of the board (for mounted TV) will be painted and the ID suggested us to hang a nice painting. So you will see the painting from the main entrance.

Painting seems a good idea... i was thinking to have things like L-box for the celling on cabinet part... So it makes the entrance brighter. ^^

How long does your ID suggest you? the indepts for my living room is 3.6m, and was thinking to make the TVconsole cum shoe cabinet about 1.8m long...

Reasonable I guess 1.8m As long as it doesn't go pass that Bomb shelter wall I think it's ok.
