Hehehe... my reno haven start. Still waiting to take my keys end of this yr. Yay.. time is drawing near. Would like to start my reno on the 2nd wk of Jan (around 6-7Jan bah, cuz gg to let sellers stay till 5Jan). Now searching for IDs/contractors and going through quotations loh. Yeah..got to start searching for IDs le..if not sure delay.. we spent quite some time searching too... actually our first target date to move in was end of Nov..but hubby went for reservist during Oct so there was a delay... ya..of cos we're excited for official handover..hope there won't be any problems during "final inspection"..hehe.. Yeah, nw comparing quotes and waiting for quotes loh. This Fri gg to bring an ID to the hse to take sme measurements etc. Hopefully can bring another one there on Sun/Mon. Cuz we have to settle on an ID/contractor soon, then we can choose tiles etc and let them start wk earli Jan woh. Very excited. Now finally can see the start of our reno.. Comes to think of it, it's next mth. hehe.. so fast. Tink u can check all the hinges of ur carpentry, check the lights/power sockets (whether they r working anot), see if the walls are nice & smooth (need plastering or touch up?), any tiles that were chipped by the workers, etc. Oh, check the doors and windows as well, to see that they open & close properly, nt rusty etc. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ahockz 1 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 try open/close everything, hmm don be too careful which normally new things ppl tend to do that. all items should be able to restain some abuse. tried out all electirc socket? someone mentioned her spoil within a week. turn on everything possible to see will trip a not. by right not suppose right.
