porkypig 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 There is no good or bad..It depends on what you prefer.. If you visit shops, many ppl will have their own version of pros and cons Undermount-excess water can be easily sweep back to the sink. It looks better then topmount when installed. But if you want to change the sink if it is damaged, the whole worktop has to be removed. And that is very tedious process. Top mount - sink sits firmly on the worktop..Easily changed if sink is damaged. For me, i go for undermount...

hihihi 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 But is it more expensive to install an undermount of sink n r u charged for installing sink? Pipes aside. depends on what surface you are mounting. Undermount in sink support if you mount on those sink support (i.e cement structure), then they usually will charge you higher coz more work has to be done. They need to first do a wet cement slab, embed the sink in that, wait for it to dry, then mount the whole thing as undermount. Undermount in solid surface cost should be the same. not much extra work to be done.

jojo28 4 Report post Posted January 7, 2019 I would prefer Aura Undermount Sink! Because they have the special sink and installation method on the quartz. And undermount sink have more sleek design as compared to top mount sinks.
