Hi guys, please help me see if this quote is expensive or not.

HDB 4rm abt 106sqm

I have supply of tiles so all is based on labour only.

And the ID never breakdown the individual prices they just give me the lump sum.

1Hack & dispose off existing floor tiles at :-

- 3 bedrooms- living- Kitchen- Master toilet- Common toilet

2Hack & dispose off existing wall tiles at - Kitchen- Master Toilet- Common Toilet

3Dismantle all unwanted cabinets & fixtures

4Dismantle existing L box

5Dismantle existing toilet bowls & basins

6Hack a portion of wall at between living & kitchen and plaster smooth

B1Floor tiles

1SUPPLY LABOUR ONLY to lay floor tiles **** & store- includes skirting

2Supply labour & materials to lay cement screeding for 3 bedrooms

3Supply labour & materials to lay short-strip parquet for 3 bedrooms- includes skirting

The previous quote the ID never list down all the breakdown so i really dont know if it's of a reasonable quote.

What about this quote from another ID?

What other items have I miss out?

HACKING

1. Old tiles for the entire house. (living/3rooms/kitchen/kitchen walls/2 bathroomwalls) $2,600

2. Hacking a wall from the kitchen to living room (around 4ft) $300

3. Hacking away the L-box ceiling $160 per foot run (u didnt state is for living only or whole unit)

4. Remove the kitchen cabinent $250

FLOORING

5. Laying tiles for living/kitchen/2bathrooms (labour charge only) $1280

6. Laying Lacquer Parquet Wood Flooring (3 bedrooms) $3,000

7. Cement screeding before doing parquet flooring $1,050 - 3rooms

8. Relay toilet tiles (labour only) -2 toilets $1,100 (

CARPENTRY WORKS

16. Walk in Wardrobe (full height x 6.5ft) $1,780 (normal sliding door wardrobe with laminate finish)

PAINTING

They shld list down the breakdown. If they don't then move on.

For kitchen, not sure 20ft enough. usually 20 ft cannot make it. So you will need to factor additional costs per foot run, usually $110. If you require tall cabinets (floor to ceiling), it's a different cost. If you require lots of carpentry in the kitchen then maybe you shld do away with wall tiles. Save $$ and not really necessary. Plaster and paint is enough. For the cooking area you can always install lacobel glass backing at price is around $30/pfr.

For carpentry (wardrobe, shoe cabinet), general price is $240 pfr. So if cabinet is 7ft the cost is $1680. For wardrobes etc, pls note that it's the length of the cabinet. So, 7ft all the way up to ceiling is still $240/pfr.

Solid surface (normal not the super ex brands) is arnd $90pfr. Post form is arnd $40-$50 pfr.

I may be wrong but cement screeding for bedrooms is FOC by HDB. At least it was for mine as it was a new unit.
