Being Redhill, tiong bahru area has its perks in:

1.5min by bus to orchard road via tanglin road.

2.facing orchard to the left is Ikea, Queensway shopping centre, Leng kee road for cars, Alexandra hospital all 3min drive or by bus also 3min

3. Delta sports complex just 5 min walk, just like condo no need maintenance fee, gym entrance fee$2.50, swimming $1, got badmintion courts, table tennis ,hockey, squash etc

4. to the south is vivocity, sentosa, IR 10 min drive

5. TO EAST slightly is the famous tiong bahru market and hawker centre, by bus 3 min, the tiong bahru plaza is just 2 min by bus or 1 min depending on how near u live.

6.To the famous kim seng road eateries 5 min by bus

7. to Great world city 5 min by bus

8. Bukit merah central is 3 min walk away where there is also a bukit merah library, hawker centres, NTUC and many shops and the bukit merah interchange

9.Mount faber if u like nature is 5min by car, by bus also 5-7min

10. the mrt is East West and reaches to most parts of singapore , oh yes 5min by mrt or by bus to Outram and china town and china square

11. oh yes mentioning about expressways i add 1 more reason 3 min to AYE via henderson road or 3 min to CTE via tiong bahru

Ya, I totally agree with you. I'm living in Blk 19 Jalan Membina, the first block facing the road, directly opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza and we love the area so much. So convenient. Takes me only 10 mins to my workplace by mrt (Tg Pagar) and 15 -20mins for my husband by bus (Science Park).

We just moved in and it's almost a year now. Mine is only 4th floor and ppl are offering 450 - 500K. I bought mine at 339K from HDB (5 room). Property price here is so high and one of the owner in our block sold his flat for 675K if i'm not wrong, for a 16th Floor flat.

Ppl knock our door almost every weekend, asking if we want to sell our flat. I wish i could sell, really!)
