How Do You Choose Your Lighting?

Recommended Posts

How do you choose what type of lights to use for your home?

Do you get a lighting shop guys to come down and view the place or do you leave it do your ID or DIY?

Anybody know where is a good place to buy lightings for outdoor terrace?

Agree with mwerkz that the lighting shop pple will not go down to view the place and advice.

For me, I believe that the ultimate choice lies with me and my hb. After all, we will be the one looking at the lights day in day out. So we have to like it enuff to do that. Ur ID and your preferences will defn-ly be different. Can always take the advice of ur ID, like the size/height/feel. But I feel that u should be the one choosing the lights. :)

my biggest concern is that when I go out to choose lights on my own, I will always end up picking shape and design I like instead thinking weather a ambient, accent or task purposes light will be better to create the right mood for the house.

ERm.. Remember the watt. Whatever it is, the light must play its primary role, which is, to provide sufficient lighting to the surrounding for reading and etc. hee. just a penny for your thought. :D

At the end of the day, your home should express your individualism instead of conforming to some design standards so long as you have sufficient level of illumination to support your activities esp. reading.

Let your home be filled with things you like and your mood will be happy everyday... :sport-smiley-003:
