Jupiter Home 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) Can check with you what material is that, the green color covering the shoe rack? Edited December 14, 2008 by Jupiter Home
klipp-klapp 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Hi FD, Yepz .. agree that it is a very nice color. Love it Hi Apple and Pink, Thanks for telling me more on the charges for the citygas. If no minimum charge, definitely prefer citygas than LPG. My sis thought that LPG shld be more economical cos she survived on the same canister of gas for more than 2 years ! Haa Hi Jacky, The backing for the kitchen is tempered glass. Requested to match with the color of the solid top for the shoe cabinet. Are you refering to the green laminate which I used to reference for the solidtop color? It is from Abet Laminati. Not too sure abt the model, number 460 is printed at the back of the sample I've got. The hanging light for the studyroom is from LC lightings. Not economical as compared to lights I bought for other rooms. It is slightly over 200 inclusive of the bulbs. Only saw it in this shop after walking along the Balestier stretch .. so bought it since I like it a lot.. But function wise, the light is not too bright. One of the reason is that the internal of the shade is green so the light reflected out is yellowish and another reason mabbe that I hang too low. Luckily, the studyroom is glass panel, can "borrow" light from living hall. Most prob will also get a table lamp. On hindsight, shld have used a thicker masking tape as what u mentioned, shld be easier to control as compared to the relatively thin ones I've use. Thanks. Will asked the citygas people to look out for the solidtop and hob .. if scratch sure heartache. Hi Angel, Thanks thanks. Haa when the bell is first installed, I kept asking my husband to go and press the doorbell so that I can see it light up . so silly Hi Jupiter, It is a custom colored solidtop. Topped up a bit for the color customization.

klipp-klapp 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 Wah what colour will your curtains be? green? That's right .. For the living room only though ..thinking of white day curtain with green string curtains. Only saw light apple green samples on sunday.. wasn't too satisfied with the shade but the boss say he has a lot more colors to choose frm and will bring it for us to choose during the measurement. The study room will be roller blind. The MBR and the spare room will be day and night curtain .. shld be the same for both rooms.

The roller blind for the study room will be striped too (horizontal) .. but in grey and white . I did not see green-white combi, there is also brown-white ... Actually not too sure if blind will match the room.. taking a risk Haa Wao! It's really the green house! Even the string curtain will also be green. Cools. hehe.. Mmm grey and white should be fine. if it's green and white it might have been overkill. haha I'm sure it'll turn out nice. *looking forward to pictures*
klipp-klapp 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2008 Found out the hob also got prob .. The one delivered to us is meant for LPG use, only found out when I asked the citygas guy to come down to turn on the gas. Jialat.. And it has been more than one month since the delivery of the hob ... remembered that we did mention ours is using citygas, although think we refer citygas as PUB at that in time... However, what's bad is that, discovered that on the invoice it is stated LPG after calling the shop which we got the hob from .. We did not check properly before signing the invoice .. so only have ourselves to blame. Have to arrange for the service ppl to come down to change the "adapter" so that the hob will be compatible to be used with citygas ... A mistake that cost extra fee... Haiz But luckily, haven move in yet ...so no urgent need for gas.

Haha What about urs? When will your curtain from Jimmy Textile be ready? The shop is featured on thrift king tv program last time ... At first, I was thinking to go down JT and see too but lazy to travel so far. In the end, sign with a shop that is nearby...
FunkMomz 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 Hi there, i am new to this forum. Chanced upon this thread and saw the pics featuring the progress of your home reno. Very impressed with it esp. the green striped wall. Intend to DIY (neva done b4) one of my smaller walls. My quests are - how did u get the alignment so straight from top to bottom? Did you meticulously measure one end to one end ? - I've this dark red painted wall. If i were to get it paint into another colour, do i have to paint that wall white first b4 i could do a diff colour on it? Sorry, so clueless about these things but hoping to pick up some useful skills from the experienced ones here. TIA
