scary to see that beehive leh.

Ya, we thought they were flies at first, just ignored them. Then one of them got lost, flew into the dining room and died there - looked closer and saw the yellow/black striped body.

Googled about honey bees/beehive and decided it was better to call in the pest control company to get rid of it.

My dad and sis weren't very helpful - said I should keep the beehive there and get free honey ...

Also no fun when want to use bathroom - have to check if it's "occupied" by the bees first ...

Thanks, did away with vanity top cos thought it'd make mini-toilets more spacious/easier to wash and we didn't need the storage space too - best of all - save money!

My hubby likes all these funny gadgets, yep, no keys, uses key tags/cards. He bought the Samsung Ezon at Comex, special promotion price $799 inclusive of installation from Hanman International.

Our TV console is coffee-coloured with black glass top/drawer fronts from OM (134 Joo Seng Road, Nobel Design House). It's only 1.5m long cos our living room is quite small.

Oh I see.

Yep, feeling tired - not getting any younger - but slowly home almost done. Think will take another 2 weekends at least. Yesterday (Sunday) hubby diyed some shelves and assembled a bedside table we bought from Ikea. Also got some photo frames to fix up. Then after all that, touch-up wall paint ...

Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Wah beehive... so scary!

Ya, we were blur first, then scared, then annoyed. Now we spray Baygon at that corner every 2-3 days - just in case.

Cos don't know why a few honey bees still came back after beehive removed - maybe homesick.

Thanks for the infor...but I already went to OM showroom on sunday. I saw their ad on newspaper and finally realised what you meant by 'OM Joo Seng'. It seems that they are clearing stock...alot of display sets and I didn't see the TV consoles I saw at their website. :(

You're most welcomed.

The one at Joo Seng is mostly clearance items but they also have new stock, updated now and then.

You will need to check with their sales staff on the model you're looking for cos it seems that different branches stock different range/priced items.

Eg, the one at Liang Court is more high-end and Joo Seng branch is mid-range.

Hubby and I went back there at least 4 times for other stuff/bargains.

Another place we went to for TV consoles was Evovliving, Balestier Road. Some nice designs but the consoles were too big for our living room and prices on the high side for us (including the custom-made ones).

Also went to Furniture mall at Beach Road and Park Mall.

Maybe you can try these places ...

So far, we have gone to Furniture mall, park mall, IFC, v.hive and countless furniture stores but yet to find one that we both like and fit our budget. The prices at park mall is really astonishing :jawdrop: We are looking for tv console with woodgrain finishing but most of the designs now are glossy with stainless steel legs :bangwall: We will try our luck at Evovliving this weekend.

Ha ha ... we were looking for a tv console that's wenge-coloured, with glass and some metal - non-glossy for the longest time. Sooo difficult to find one! In the end settled for this OM tv console. Took us almost 2 months - burn so many weekends.

Ya, unless there's a sale at any of these furniture shops, the prices are crazy high.

Unfortunately glossy is the in-thing right now, some shops willing to custom-make and change the material, but cost-wise quite high still.

Check out Evovliving website first - if I'm not mistaken, theirs is mostly glossy finish with stainless steel legs too, not much woodgrain designs.

We went to Enterprise One building at Kaki Bukit Avenue - there are some furniture shops there too. Have you been there? Thought I saw some shops with woodgrain furniture.

Also found out that just looking at the price tag is not enough, always ask shop asst if there's any discount/promotion on.

Ah, then we have the same good taste! Hehe!

Hubby bought the Samsung lock at the recent Comex fair at Suntec. Promotion price was $799 inclusive of installation, company is Hanman International.
