Alextoh76 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) Hi,Anyone DIY & got this going in their house?I m researching into how to get it up to control AC, Lights, Curtains/Blinds, Tv & HiFi. Ideally Automation do not need me to change switches. Possible?Iphone, Ipad will be used to control the mentioned. In tat case, your old iphone 3GS ipad 1 or even ipod can be used.Appreciate if we can discuss & explore together Thanks! Antares 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2012 Hi Antares,I'm also interested and going for z-wave. Any local distributor? If not, want to source together?Hi Feiwin,There are a few local companies doing home automation. I dont know if they are doing Z-wave HA or some other standards. I just buy from webstores like Homeseers. Though Z-wave has been around a long time, its quite hard to find suitable UK version (868.41mhz) without costing me an arm or leg. Right now still trying to find a switch with reasonable pricing for use. I am liasing with fibaro from poland now to try out their Z-wave micromodule.Sites I bought stuff fromhttp://store.homeseer.com/store/default.aspxhttp://www.smarthome-products.com/Both are based in the US but they sell EU version Z-wave products.@Alex: lol... small hobby group sounds pretty good. Can swap pointers and share resoucres and lobangs.
